Using GIS-technologies, a map of placer-forming formations was compiled on the basis of generalization of data on geology, geomorphology, indigenous and placer gold content of the Eastern Sayan, as well as a complex of field and analytical works. The ore-formational typification of the main deposits and manifestations of gold has been carried out. The placer-forming potential of the main gold ore and gold-bearing formations of the region is determined. An electronic database of gold ore and gold-bearing indigenous objects (475 deposits, ore occurrences and mineralization points) and gold placers (303 objects) has been created in the East Sayan region.
